Kalshi states the CFTC has not contacted them regarding $5 billion in Ether perpetual trades. The company attributes the "unusual" activity to liquidity programs, rejecting claims of wash trading.

Prediction market platform Kalshi has clarified that the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), a US regulator for futures and derivatives, has not reached out to them. This follows reports of approximately $5 billion in Ether (ETH) perpetual trades, which some called "unusual." Kalshi explained these trades were part of their liquidity incentive programs. The platform firmly denied any accusations of "wash trading," a practice where investors buy and sell an asset to create misleading activity. Kalshi emphasized its commitment to fair and transparent market operations within the crypto space.
