Dartmouth's Crypto Investments See $2 Million Drop

Dartmouth University's crypto investment portfolio saw its value drop by $2 million, now at $12 million. This decline reflects recent market price falls, impacting its holdings in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana staking ETFs.

Dartmouth University’s endowment, which manages its investment funds, recently saw the value of its cryptocurrency holdings decrease. The university’s investments in digital assets, specifically through funds like the Bitwise Solana staking ETF, Grayscale Ethereum staking ETF, and BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin ETF, now stand at approximately $12 million. This represents a $2 million reduction from their previous valuation. This drop is primarily a result of falling prices across the wider crypto market. Such fluctuations show how even major institutions are exposed to the volatile nature of digital asset investments.
